Detailed here are the current relations between the Raiconian Alliance and other groups, species, and civilizations. As an inherently aggressive species, relations are usually strained at best.

The table below covers multiple potential agreements and stances that have been made (or haven't been) between nations. It also covers various levels of each agreement. They span from trade and borders to war and colonization.

General Relation Level describes the relations between two groups in a single broad stroke.

• War - Spilling blood is the only way.
• Hated - Mistaken for dirt.
• Hostile - A punch to the face is the standard greeting.
• Disliked - Sneers and prejudice galore.
• Unfriendly - Frowning instead of smiling.
• Impartial - Clean and professionally neutral.
• Friendly - A nod of the head, rather than a slap to the face.
• Liked - A firm handshake.
• Favored - An invitation to dinner.
• Friends - Living together in harmony.
• Allies - Bound together, for better or worse.

Listed are potential general agreements that can be made between nations.

• Closed - Borders are closed to this group, meaning they are not permitted to enter Alliance territory.
• Limited - Some borders are open and some are not. This usually means certain systems are open to other groups or certain types of ships are allowed. (Such as Trade Ships.)
• Open - Borders are freely crossed.

• None - This group is not permitted to establish colonies or be a part of one.
• Limited - This group is permitted to establish colonies or be a part of one, but only in certain areas or planets.
• Open - This group can colonize where they please, although approval is still required.

• None - This group is not permitted to construct stations or other structures.
• Limited - This group is permitted to construct stations or structures, but only in certain areas or planets.
• Open - This group can build where they please, although approval is still required.

• Embargo - Any trade is prohibited.
• Controlled - Trade is permitted, but the type of goods that may be traded are limited. Government authorities ensure trade restrictions are enforced.
• Free Trade - Trade is permitted. Restrictions may still apply, but for the most part, traders may trade what they please.

• No - This nation does not have a Non-Aggression Pact, meaning the Alliance may pursue hostile military action.
• Yes - This nation does have a Non-Aggression pact, meaning the Alliance will refrain from hostile military action.

• No - This nation does not have a Defensive Alliance.
• Yes - This nation does have a Defensive Alliance. The Alliance is bound to respond if this nation is attacked. They expect the same if they are attacked. This only applies if an outside power is the aggressor.

• No - This nation does not have a Military Alliance.
• Yes - This nation does have a Military Alliance. The Alliance and this nation's military work closely together. They will attack and defend with their partner. For all purposes, these two nations act as one.

• None - Information is not shared with this nation.
• Limited (R) - Research Information is shared.
• Limited (S) - Star Chart Information is shared.
• Limited (C) - Criminal Information is shared.
• Limited (M) - Military Information is shared.
• Free - Most Information is shared.

• None - No further modifiers.
• Guarantee Independence (GI) - This nation's sovereignty is being protected by the Alliance. Attacking this nation may damage relations with the Alliance.
• Vassal (V) - This nation is currently a vassal of the Alliance. For all purposes, the Alliance owns this nation.
• Guarded (GU) - This nation is being guarded and/or watched by the Alliance. Although they do not explicitly own the nation, they are preventing others from interacting with them.
