Concord Park
Concord Park is an interstellar theme park owned an operated by Cloverpaw and is their primary manufacturing house for their Man's Best Friends line of products.
Statistics
Width | 20km (20.5 on the center ring, otherwise spheroid) |
Non-MBF Employees | 50000 |
MBF Population | 150000 |
Concord Park is shaped like a burger with an overly large patty. The outer-ring of the “patty” is the railway that takes guests of the park to wherever they need to go. The top “bun” of the park is the arrivals area for local shuttles and parking for others, as well as the four hotels and some housing for the employees.
The main meat of the burger is where the 8 primary zones of the park are located, as well as the central “core” where the CEO of cloverpaw resides. As mentioned above, there is a railway in the outermost ring that helps passengers reach whatever zone they desire. This railway changes aesthetics through use of structol programmable textures along with holographic trickery and a few swappable panels to suit the zone it transitions to. There is also a second railway dividing each zone in half - the outer half being a general public access, and the inner half being an adults-only zone with gambling, sexual-indulgence, and more. Mascots also have much more of a divide, the inner ring holding biosuits and sexbots for patrons to enjoy.
The bottom bun houses all the necessary components to keep the station functioning, including life support, hydroponics, and engineering facilities. It also houses the primary MBF production facility as well as manufacturing stations for whatever else Cloverpaw might need in operation or research for their products.
Amenities
Concord Park provides a special set of transforming clothes (using a structol base) to all patrons, free of charge. These clothes have 3 primary settings - plain, automatic (Appearance changes in each zone based on a questionnaire filled out), or custom (appearance can be altered in hotel room or at a convenient terminal located throughout the park.

Events and Hero Mode
Each zone has its own special events that happen at regular intervals and often gets audience participation going. Events cycle out on a seasonal basis. Each event has a special commemorative coin associated with it, given to participants. When one collects all of the coins for currently active events in a zone, they are given access to the Core for a specific associated prize. Additionally, some of the more popular performers have their own special coins - although these are purely for collector's purposes and do not serve any use.
Hero Mode is a special feature by the park to give patrons a more adventurous experience. Hero Mode varies from zone to zone, but is available free of charge. Every guest of the park that participates in hero mode get a special visor to feed them hero-mode necessary data and a holographic baton that transforms into whatever zone-appropriate tool it needs to. Hero Mode prizes for each task are also commemorative coins that lead to a prize at the core for the respective zone, but the prize is different than the event participation prize.
The primary difference between standard events and hero mode events is that while standard events guarantee a coin for participation, there are lose conditions in hero mode events that may prevent a player from succeeding.
Fantasia
Fantasia is a Neo-Futuristic wonderland with fountains, colourful -but not garish- lighting, and a warm atmosphere throughout. It is the daytime to Nightlane's everlasting night.
Rides throughout this area
Events
Hero Mode
Indigo Palace
Indigo Palace is a combination of artificial beaches, underwater glass tunnels, and beautiful temple-esque pavilions under an artificial sea. This is where most of the park's swimsuit-necessary rides are, including wave pools, tubing rides, boat droppers, deep sea exploration, and more. Indigo Palace opens up with a section of beaches, and then connects to the underwater portions through two very wide glass tunnels. As the inner segment reaches the Core, it turns into another beach.
Events
Events in Indigo Palace mostly revolve either around beach festivities or mysterious tales about underwater rulers, oftentimes putting performers into merfolk costumes and using displays of rising water. On occasion, an audience member will be “kidnapped” and will need to be rescued.
Hero Mode
Hero Mode in indigo palace grants people access to special aquatic puzzle rooms that take advantage of the unique environment to provide a very unique experience. There is also a “kraken invasion” event, in which one must stop numerous tentacles from shutting down a zone1). The other primary event involves stopping a flood from “drowning”2) a special zone.
Galaxia
Galaxia is the space themed zone of Concord Park, taking elements of retrofuturism and combining them with elements of other futurism aesthetics to provide a truly unique place. The area opens up as specially designed space station and then opens out to faux spacewalks, with tricky gravity generation and repulsors to provide many mind-boggling pathways and platforms. to the various destinations of the park. Clever projectors and optical illusions make the place feel far larger than it actually is, with many of the faux space stations getting exponentially bigger as one nears them.
Events
Many of the events in Galaxia end up being very much like micro-space operas, telling the different bits and pieces of a grander story through separate events.
Hero Mode
Hero Mode for Galaxia involves many invasion style events, including a starfighter simulation and a “HOLD THE LINE” defensive situation, pitting the players against holographic baddies.
Outlands
The Outlands is the commonly imagined wild frontier scenario, being made primarily of dusty mesas with dotted oases and sanctuaries spread throughout. A similar effect to Galaxia's sudden station growth is used her to add to the illusion of vastness.
Events
The events
They also include a tie into the Hero Mode version of the train heist, although participants are locked into their own car. If the Heroes lose control of that compartment, then it's “invaded” by the outlaws. Regardless of Hero success, all participants get coins.
Hero Mode
The Outlands involve very daring events, including a blend-simulation of a death rally (In which several people man a deadly car and race against many opponents while trying to fend off/kill the opposition), gladiatorial style combat, and shootouts/standoffs. There's even a transport heist mission where the players have to fend off outlaws trying to rob their vessel.
Grimvale
Grimvale is a dense, dark place taking cues from Gothic and Victorian architectures with the odd spooky woods, and is generally where the horror-themed attractions of Concord Park are found. Scary coasters, walk throughs, and visceral chases are all part of the fun in Grimvale. This is also a hotspot of “escape” type puzzle rooms.
Events
Most of the events in Grimvale revolve around witnessing a horrible event that happened in whatever zone the participants happen to be in, from murders and hauntings to grimm fairytales.
Hero Mode
Hero mode functions in Grimvale are primarily themed around ghost hunting and exorcism, with the odd monster hunt thrown in for good measure.
Nightlane
Nightlane is the synthesized cityscape of Concord Park. Neon, polished plastics, and sleek metals decorate the landscape of this Noir-inspired locale. Most of the attractions have a need for speed, so thrillseekers are most likely to get their money's worth out of this zone.
Events
One of the main events involves a hostage crisis, allowing people to have all the fun of seeing either firsthand or second hand a standoff between cops and robbers - for those that are into that type of thing.
Hero Mode
Many of the Hero Mode events involve a crime theme, oftentimes trying to piece together a story through several scenes and deduct who is the criminal through evidence, audio logs, and testimony. Included are a vehicle chase sequence carefully constructed to replicate the thrills without the need for VR plugins.
Everwood
Everwood is the nature themed zone of Concord Park. Much of it plays with scale, and features a vast array of massive (synthetic) flora and artificial sun and moonlight.
Events
One of the main events in Everwood involves bringing a swath of “dead” plants to life through a ritual.
Hero Mode
In Everwood, chases bringing down big beasties are common, as are platforming areas revolving around getting to the top of large plants and facing down with a monster at the top.
Lost Kingdom
Lost Kingdom is a zone modeled after ancient arcane temples and ruins found around the cosmos. The general terrain varies from full jungle to windswept plains, with stone temples and tombs housing most of the attractions. Eerie puzzle-driven walkthroughs, low-thrill vehicle rides, and more await park guests.
Events
Events include a purification ritual designed to drive back the incursions from the hero mode failures. The stylized rituals involve either summoning ancient golems/beasts, or using a barrier pulse to drive it all back.
Hero Mode
Hero mode in Lost Kingdom turns into more traditional dungeon crawls to prevent the resurrection of a lich, cultists summoning an eldritch deity, and the rise of a goblinoid tribe. Failure leads to a landscape corruption and actors/holograms/animatronics antagonizing patrons (in a non-threatening way from the sidelines, or in a consented way for those in the inner ring).
