Hagblood Creation Guide

Hagblood is a word to describe the magically inclined sub-strata of the human varieties, often with lines steeped in magical practice and lore. Hagbloods are the most naturally magical gifted variant of humanity, and as many schools of magic often exist as there are hagblood families.

Spellbook

Yes, you actually get to use this section of the character sheet now. The Spellbook is not a definitive list of all the spells a character might know, although you can certainly write it as such. Instead a detailed break down of the type, style, and way they cast magic should be considered.

Things such as an affinity for fire spells, how they're cast, and the effects from them are can be more useful than just say “Fireball.”

Magic Schools

Often up to the player, the way spells are cast by the character, either using charmed items, a focus, wand, or by application of chualk to surface. Any way to cast magic can be the basis of a magic school. These schools are also often themed, although this often relates to what kind of magic a caster can cast quickly and easily, rather than restricting them to one kind of magic.

Hagbloods often have human names, but many take on pseudonyms for fear of identifying magic.

Normals

Normals grow up within regular human society, with their magic barely known to them or suppressed most of their lives, and trained only enough to control it.

Swamp Women

A rare, all-female order of magic. Swamp Women are almost straight out of faery tales, beautiful women enticing adventurers into swamps to give them children. Swamp Women are stereotypically sages and or witches, ambiguously between good and evil. Their magic is powerful, but often requires ceremony and preparation to cast their most powerful spells.

Mancers

Mancers create their magic around one particular element, and focus most of their spell repotoire around it. This gives them incedible flexibility with their chosen element, but can make casting other forms of magic difficult for them.

Hagbloods come is as many appearances as there are hagbloods. Some use their magic to accentuate their aeesthetic appeal, while others embrace the 'witch' look and own it.

This should be something influenced by societal education. Magic and psionic talents (Including specific disciplines) are in this category. Natural racial abilities should be listed here as well.

Magic has been in Sargasso as long as Visitors have, and so magically infused items and archetecture are rare only in their ability to legally obtain legitimate useful items legally.

This is where you link anything that would be helpful for potential players to take a look at.
