The Sky Rider Fusion Engine is the primary engine employed by the Protectors Of The Alliance and the Raiconian Alliance for small craft that are unable to support a Star Rider Phase Engine. It is capable of operating in atmosphere and reaching sub-light speeds in space.
The Sky Rider Fusion Engine was designed when fusion reactors became efficient. Prior to the design and manufacture of the Sky Rider, the Raiken used rocket engines. These engines depleted natural resources and weren't particularly effective, spurring the effort to design far more efficient and powerful engines.
The Sky Rider is used on aircraft and vehicles used on planets and smaller craft that operate in space, such as interceptors.
The Sky Rider Fusion Engine is a multi-layered engine. Its outer shell is comprised mostly of A'unavas'rhi, protecting the reactor and the engine's inner components from damage and wear. The second layer is comprised mostly of Esyga and seeded with powerful magnets. This layer is primarily responsible for directing the flow of the fusion reactor within.
Next are the hydrogen fuel injectors and the fusion reactor itself. The hydrogen injectors supply the fuel for sustaining the powerful fusion reaction. To increase or decrease the power of the engine, more or less hydrogen is supplied to the reactor, respectively. The force of the reaction is directed out of the engine, creating a powerful thrust that moves the craft.
