Humbold-class Attack Frigate
The Humboldt is a modern take on the Attack Frigate role, with more efficient weapons placement, thruster use, and powerful weapons for its size.
Characteristics
- Fleet defense
- Quick strikes
- Easy to repair and rearm
- Efficient weapon placement
Mass | 3200 tonnes |
---|---|
Beam | 145 meters |
Height | 40 meters |
Width | 65 meters |
Appearance
With an angular shape, vaguely triangular with weapons platforms with overlapping fields of fire.
Mission Profile
Designed with firepower in mind for its small size, the Humboldt is an expressly aggressive design with a lot of firepower packed into a small platform. Making it excellent as a fleet defense frigate, but more often as an attack frigate.
History
An attempt to update upon the venerable Kalahan design, with a greater focus on firepower. With better armor, weapons placement, and spacial design. The longevity of this design is yet to be discovered, but Humboldts are being produced across the Reaches to fill in fleets.
It does maintain the similar ease-of-repair and fast turn-around times of its origin design.
