+In response to the troubling developments in local space the Matriarchy pushed a background project to the forefront and began experimenting with trans-universal technology in earnest, accelerating their timeline as much of the Matriarchy's resources were channelled into the project eventually leading to the launching of several probes, many of which never returned. The data gathered by those that were retrieved provided the insight needed for Lorath engineers to shape the form and function of the vessel that would become the Herald.
