Items within the setting necessary to accomplish a task or for a particular purpose, equipment may be brought and sold among the setting's many vendors. Importantly, the availability of differing equipment for reasons of supply, production, distribution and legality mean not all equipment within the setting is available to all.

No longer in business, Quantex produced specialty equipment for the United Defence Directive. Once standard issue to enforcers in the field nearly fifty years ago, Quantex is a classic example of “they don't make em like they used to” and is considered the gold standard. To come into possession of Quantex gear is usually an act of inheritance, not an act of capitalism.
