Quantex Quantez '44 Light-Harness

Work in progress

Containing tightly protected technologies, the Quantex '44 is a staple of CORE's classical first-wave deployment to fringe systems. More in line with military equipment than law-enforcement, the Light-Harness uses hard-light technology to project a variety of different structures for different purposes.

It is notable for its requirements of high maintenance and practice to get the most out of it.

The most common mode of operation, the riot-shield projects a simple rectangular hard-light field. Able to stop small arms almost entirely, it allows a CORE enforcer to run through oncoming fire into cover, granting them mobility in situations which would typically pin them down entirely.

Importantly, it requires a fixed posture and breaking this posture will either swing the shield or deactivate it, due to its requirements of the suit's projectors to line up in a specific shape to work.

Its operational duration is limited for 20 minutes or until the shield is broken, whichever happens first.

Essentially a sort of glider, the wing-suit creates elevated layered stacked membranes which vibrate in order to force air through the wingsuit, while shifting like feathers to allow for basic maneuvering. While it possesses nothing close to the thrust required to get a CORE enforcer off the ground, it can allow for a long glided descent with very little drop.

Its operational duration is limited to 3 minutes.

When stationary, the Quantex can project a very simple estimated covering based on simple rules of repetition and surrounding texture. This makes a user very hard to identify (especially when placed up against a surface), it knows only simple rules and repetition and as such may violate patterns of shapes - allowing the user to be seen with further scrutiny.

In addition, its operational duration is limited to around one minute.
