This page lists all of the ammunition, grouped by broad classes, in the Wandering Star setting. They are made by a variety of individual manufacturers privately, or created by government-sponsored war machines.
Chemically or magnetically propelled projectiles, usually residing inside a case but sometimes caseless or magnetically held. Bullets inflict damage by piercing through the target and puncturing internal organs and muscle, leading to internal bleeding and organ damage.
Intended for sidearms such as pistols or submachine guns, Small Bullets represent the small rounds such as the .22, .38, 9mm, 10mm, and .45. Small, however, does not mean less lethal, as sidearms on the battlefield have saved many soldier's lives as they fight to grab their rifle, or another.

The standard seen in rifles, Medium Bullets represent bullets suitable for assault rifles, battle rifles, marksman rifles.
bigguns for sniper rifles, anti-materiel rifles,
A category of its own since it doesn't sit neatly between Small and Medium, Magnum bullets usually have large powder loads compared to other bullets its size, and are used in single-shot target pistols, revolvers, lever-action guns, elephant guns, and specially-made hunting rifles. Magnum Bullets can also represent popular 'wildcat' loads, optimised to perform.
Intended for use in crewed weapons such as heavy machine guns and autocannon, or the armament for primitive aerospace craft, bullets manufactured or produced this way are linked together in a disintegrating chain, or even by the casing. The bullets themselves are usually in the Medium or Large categories for military use, but enthusiasts are known to make guns which can fire belts of Small ammunition!
Intended for training, riot control, or non-lethal elimination of targets. These can represent rubber bullets, tranquillisers, or BB training rounds. However, they can still be lethal even if they aren't intended to be.
A plastic or cardboard case with a primer, powder load, a wadding cup, and a series of projectiles or one large projectile intended to be fired through a smoothbore firearm, peppering the target in shot at close to medium range. They lack the penetration power of bullets, but against unarmoured targets, shotguns can do a lot of harm.
The main variations between shotgun shells is the length of the cartridge, and the bore. Larger bore means smaller projectiles. Shotgun cartridges are expected to fire buckshot, but other projectile loads aren't uncommon.
The most commonly seen loads include:
kaboom
includes C4, mines, tripwire bombs, etc.
Unguided, cannot change trajectory once fired, but packs punch! Also includes artillery loads.
Guided, can change trajectory via means of laser designator
Loaded into a rack and fired in swarms at a target.
