Conventional humans with unaltered or unproofed genomes are quite rare - with most populations having either very subtle alterations to make them better suited to their specific environment (for example high altitude respiration or improved resistance against depression in areas with little sunlight) or even specific 'brands' of people, not produced by any company for a resolute 'flavour' of person, overlaid upon their existing genome to encourage specific characteristics.
Typically it is best to assume that members of the species are almost identical to humans, with specific exceptions as outlined.
Progressing from Greaseheart, Mindeyes are further hardened against psionic attack and feature a body better able to deal with radiation and the rigours of space travel. Mindeyes are usually just adapted Greasehearts, via gene therapy. They tend to be much frailer than a Greasehart when it comes to physical activity, however.
Oddbody (More politely referred to as Modbodies) is a catch-all term for heavily modified humans via cybernetics, brain uploading, gene therapy, mutation, or other transmutation processes. Few Oddbodies share similar genomes and attributes unless cloned, and their overall mental and physical properties vary wildly.
Sometimes referred to as the 'former class', Greaseheart are the previous major 'version' of humanity. Hardened against cancer from synthetic plastics and oils, as well as many common diseases, Greaseheart are a hardy and bold people who live in harmony with heavy machinery and technology. They are known for being very skilled builders, engineers, pilots, and marksmen.
A self-created species, the Maidenhands are a combination of battlemaid and human qualities. They differ enormously from Greaseheart or Mindeye in that they do not have conventional genomes as we know them, and their entire protein structures are largely based in colonies of exotic nanomachines. They are often seen not entirely as people but as vessels for people, a product that is worn as a replacement body. They are most often specialised for general-purpose combat, but other occupations aren't unheard of.
Humans that happen to have a powerful well of magical talent that they can tap into, but not without some unfortunate genetic consequences. Scarring, tattoos, disfigurement, or warped limbs are not uncommon physical traits of a Hagblood. Some blame the phenomenon on an accident made a long time ago, or a deal with something going out of hand. Others don't pay much attention to the drawbacks, and leverage their craft to its fullest advantage.
The Human spectrum of organisms is an officially recognized group of other species which have been cultivated by humans to have human or human-like qualities for the purpose of companionship or peership. This very specifically excludes species designed either as weapons or as workers who are demonstrated individual membership if they can prove their individual cognizance and their ability to function in society without resorting to violence.
Assistance can also be reached for legal or financial support via any human embassy if deemed within reason by a jury by any human citizen, which these species on an individual basis may gain.
