====== Eldruid ======

The Eldruid system consists of a brown dwarf orbited by three planets. The entire system shrouded by vast dust clouds concealing the system's abundant asteroid belts making the largely inhospitable system valuable for its resource wealth. Of the three planets, two are metallic rich in a large spectrum of precious, semi-precious, and mundane metals.  The third planet in the system is a gas giant rich in hydrocarbons and features an array of small moons.

The remote system serves as a mining outpost and way station for a [[guide:evolution:humanborn#hagblood|Hagblood]] dynasty known as the Xeylir families. The outpost exists to augment the wealth of the family's main branch with the profits the raw materials mined by a rotating occupation of minor branches of the Xeylir family. The isolated system's wealth is collected and shipped out to the main Xeylir holdings allows the dynasty to comfortably maintain their economic power. 

The system is fairly isolated due to the semi-covert nature of the mining operations featuring only low power wireless broadcasts and relying on the cycling of cargo ships to relay news in and out of the system. Despite the limited communications infrastructure, the system features an extensively developed orbital platform at the gas giant's L2 Lagrange point. This facility features repair, medical, and living facilities for the working crews as well as pre-processing facilities for the ores destined for the Xeylir dynasty factories.

Due to the isolated nature of the system with infrequent traffic, the defenses present are minimal as typically only the most desperate and lost pirates find their way to the system.
